Re: Judith Hansen’s “Universal Health Care is the RightThing” 8/14/09
Collectivism (Communism/Fascism) rode into the U.S. on backof a Boll Weevil named Altruism, the Cultural Marxist’s cleverly co-opted itfor moral appearances. Ms. Hansen seemsto imply humans are a collective, responsible for whatever befalls “others”,meaning our lives and earnings aren’t our own. A philosophy responsible formillions of deaths and untold suffering across the world’s history, the logicalresults.
Perhaps Hansen doesn’t know our Founders were mostlyChristians who were unaware of Altruism, an invention of Auguste Comte in theearly 1800’s.If they had accepted sucha deadly concept, there never would have been property rights or “Life, libertyand the pursuit of happiness” i.e. our government was formed to protectindividual rights, not provide services.
Ms. Hansen has a lot of complaints about the present system(who doesn’t) but nowhere in her article does she complain about the tens ofmillions of illegal aliens who receive all sorts of free healthcare, eventransplants, and many other services…courtesy of taxpayers.
Name one thing the government handles efficiently or wellMs. Hansen. Been to a V.A. hospital? Your caveat “if it can be done properly”belies the reality of bureaucracies which by their nature do nothing “properly”.True “free trade” means free of governmentinvolvement, not the Fascism we see today, e.g. “public/private partnerships”,open-borders and sanctuary policies for illegals and their exploiters.
“Universal healthcare” is and always has been a colossal failureand enemy of the individual. The “rightthing to do” is to return to individual responsibility, secure borders, deportillegal aliens, punish their employers and enablers, cut government programsand control, vote out all incumbents, abolishthe Federal Reserve, cease unconstitutional preemptive wars, and that means areturn to our Founding Principles and rule of law.
