Governor Mike Beebe (Tyson’s Birdman of Arkansas) is on the
move. Two stories appearing today in
the Ark. Democrat-Gazette & the Fort Smith Times Record are indeed eye-openers.
Beebe has the word from the Arkansas insiders that it is
time to push for a severance tax increase.
Here is the Zinger.
This zinger is absolutely on par with his reasons for not securing our
state borders preventing the illegal Mexican and OTM invasion…you know the one;
“legal is legal, illegal is illegal, and we’ve got to find what’s legal”. Now to the latest zinger, he says, “Arkansas’
severance tax is so low, it’s unfair”, and the production companies should pay
more. Followed by “I’d rather lose than
succumb to something that in effect, just isn’t fair”. Unfair to whom?
Of course, this is exactly the non-logic you come to expect
from people who have been on the taxpayer teat their whole life.
More linguistic pearls.
After my FOI of the state’s new airplane, a King Air, regarding logs,
travel, participants, and reasons for the use of said airplane, and pointing
out to the State Police if they did not comply to FARS 91 (a commercial
license) they would be in violation of Air Transportation laws. At this
juncture, the governor appears not to have used the King Air for personal use,
nor should he.
A financial report filed by Gov. Beebe shows the governor
received 4 free airplane flights in his first year as governor. He never said what his extended trip to
Traverse City, Michigan in the new King Air was all about. Back to the 4 trips…he flew to Washington on
a jet owned by Tom Schueck, owner of Lexicon, Inc., followed by a trip paid for
by the Ark. Democrat Party for a Democrat Governor’s Association Conference in
Phoenix, AZ. As I recall the governor
was accompanied by his chicken shill Morill Harriman. Alltel Corp. (a principal in the Fascist
organization “Arkansas Friendship Coalition”) paid for Beebe’s trip to
Arlington, VA. to salute the state’s congressional delegation. (Who in their right mind would salute those
criminals? And what was the REAL reason?)
Now comes another example of the mindset of welfare
recipients, e.g. “free”. The Univ. of Arkansas in Fayetteville flew the
Gov. to speak to the N.W. Arkansas’ Political Animals Club” as the 4th
trip. The 4th trip entailed a
flight from Fayetteville, to Little Rock, to Fayetteville, to Little Rock, to
Fayetteville. Economic accountability is
not a priority for criminal, parasitic bureaucrats and politicians.
Governor, who do you think owns the airplane that former
Chancellor John White was so willing to put into the air for your personal
use? Is it not the same taxpayers who
own the State Police plane?
I will be FOIing on a regular basis for the logs of both
aircraft—the university and the state police, and the purpose of the flights,
passengers on board, etc. to keep you “elitists”
in the public spotlight.
Gov. Beebe, I would again suggest you load up on Cessna 172’s
that are under state police control for your Arkansas “official” business
junkets. You never need more than 2-3
aides to accompany, any more is fat baggage.
And by the way, $100 per hour for a Cessna is substantially easier on us
taxpayers than $1,000 per hour for the King Air.
